We're going to try out a few different formats for release notes and discussion. We're keen to make sure that we include notes on what's currently available in the Alpha, as well have a place to add notes and changes as we go. For now we'll update this post, but over time we might move to regular release note updates.
We send out access links by email. There's a short delay between signing up and receiving access.
A quick summary of what's currently available:
Multiplayer and vs AI play, as well as a couple of simple introductions.
"River" map: the basic, direct damage outposts map. Available for both multiplayer and AI games.
"Jungle" map: the healing map... players take damage at the start of their turn and can use outposts to heal and increase health. Available for multiplayer games and a tutorial.
"Oasis" map: this is the least tested so far, and has some pending art updates but it shows of the new "walling" type of outposts (occupied outposts prevent you from targeting their owners). Available for multiplayer only at present.
A selection of demo decks, also a work in progress, but show off some interesting matches across the different maps. You can play any demo deck against any other on any map.
As well as content updates we're also rolling out some system changes. We'll continue to provide updates here.
One of the new features we've just added is a "send a link to a friend" feature for the multiplayer games. Your friend doesn't have to have access to the closed alpha to join your game! They'll also get an option to sign up for the alpha before they start playing (have them fill in their email address and click the button before they hit "Join Game").
Reach out to @janis if you'd like the chance to participate in a live stream of some of the new content... we're always looking for new players to discuss and stream the game with.
